One Week Old

One week ago to day, around this time, little Stella Luna (Luna) was born.  She has grown fast, as you can tell by the photos (somewhat of a concern, but I think we are OK). 

A Melancholy mood sets in when I look back, and see where we were a week ago. All the growth taken place in one week is mind boggling.  Soon, Luna will be 15 years old (may she live at least that long), and Nash, Pearl and Little Miss Sunshine, their years pass quickly, too.  It is easier, I find, to view time as an event happening all at once. This way the past, present, and future unfold at the same time.  Luna's birth is now, and today, we are right where we are meant to be.  We have simply caught up to ourselves, or we have stepped aside into this space.  Last week is over there, and now is here - in this moment.  Ok,  this is all a bit "heady", especially when enjoying these moments with a new little one.  I think my drift is understood.
